Onshore LNG terminals consume prime coastal land and are built stick-by-stick on site. The Marine Energy Terminal System is built differently: standardised modules, fabricated in controlled yard environments, transported by sea and installed at the coastline - designed to shorten schedules, improve cost certainty and minimise land take.
Kino Aski LNG - a First Nations-led export project in Canada
Marinvest Energy Canada is minority partner in Kino Aski LNG Inc., majority-owned and led by Kino Aski Inc. under the leadership of the Atikamekw Nation with First Nations from Quebec and Ontario. The project will supply Europe with LNG produced with low-emission, electric-drive liquefaction, from an existing deep-water port - modular marine liquefaction applying the METS approach at scale.
